Team Verve! Calling all members, we are needed!

We are needed to climb, climb for a great cause.  Sunday the 27th of February is the Fight for Air Climb in Downtown Denver.  This is a fundraiser that benefits the American Lung Association.  We will be climbing the Republic Plaza building at Broadway and 17th.  This is the tallest building in Colorado at 56 stories.  If you know someone that has suffered from asthma, second hand smoke, emphysema, COPD, or even lung cancer; we will be climbing for them.  Your donations will help with improving lung health and preventing lung disease.  This will be a fun weekend with friends and family, so please join us help others. 

CrossFit Verve has a team started. So when you sign up, click on the “join team” link on the right hand side and find “CrossFit Verve”.  Let’s show everyone that we are not just interested in our own fitness, but we want everyone to be healthy.

    Is there an individual cost, or is it just fundraise what you can to participate???
    What is the time frame, i did not see anything on the website?

    All signed up for the air climb! Have done this in years past and it is a great event and lots of fun. Can’t wait.
    On a personal note, my mother passed away last March and her weak lungs (along with cancer and COPD) ended her fight. Watching someone fight for each breath is heartbreaking and I will be climing for her!

    @Leslie, thank you for sharing your story that is hard to do, I know she would be very proud of you.
    @Robyn, there are several ways to donate: you can sign up for the team and climb, we as a Verve team have pledged a minimum of $200. Your donation can either go to help meet or exceed this total, or can be separate. In addition, anyone not climbing can still donate to our team total. All the money raised goes to a very good cause.
    When you are on the climb site, go to “sign up” on the right hand side and select “join a team”. Then you will have to type in CrossFit Verve in the search box and it will bring us up!
    Times for the climb will be sent to your email when it gets closer to the date.

    11 rds. 14′ rope, so definitely shorter than the 18′ ropes at the gym.

    8rounds+9 15# DB’s it was what was available and I’m sure that extra 4 feet is what made my rounds less then Matt’s.
    My forearms are toast!
