For perfect reps:

From the ground to overhead anyhow.

7,000 lbs for the men, 5,000 lbs for the women

All of the athletes have to choose what weight they are going to do for the workout.  The choices, with the corresponding numbers of reps are listed below.

The barbell starts on the ground and must end up locked out overhead.  You can use any technique you want to achieve that, so long as it's mechanically sound.

Men's choices  7,000 lbs for time:
155 lbs x 46 reps
135 lbs x 52 reps
95 lbs x 74 reps
75 lbs x 94 reps

Women's choices 5,000 lbs for time:
100 lbs x 50 reps
85 lbs x 59 reps
65 lbs x 77 reps
55 lbs x 91 reps

  1. Volunteer Coordinator, Ward :

    Calling all Volunteers!
What a great way to get involved! I have an impressive list of volunteers from across the US and Colorado! This is a great way to help the Verve and be part of the action. Please click on the Sectionals link on the Verve homepage and register to volunteer first. This registration process generates your name on a spreadsheet so I get your info and you must sign an electronic waiver there too. Once you complete that registration process I’ll email you with the details. Thanks for helping out, it’s going to be a great event! Please post or email me with any questions you have. I’m here to help.

    Also…
If you HAVE registered and have NOT responded to (or received) the email from me asking for your availability please respond with your information or let me know you need the info.
    Thanks!

Umm… Potts showed me this website.. People, this is hilarious. check it out… first, here’s a sneak peak.
    Day 12 / 5:45am:
This Paleo-Dude has been up for hours. The Urban Forest is alive with food at this time of morning. I’m currently running from house to house hunting and gathering “Dinosaur Milk” left there by an ancient Mathis Dairy Truck-a-saur. I know some of those purist Cave Man Diet assholes say “dairy” is not “Kosher,” but I doubt there were any “Cave-Rabbis” around back then making up food rules. Now, I must find a way to sneak back into my “cave” (Cave-Bitch threw me out cuz she found out about Mrs. Fergusson.) May have to hunt down some Paleozoic oysters containing a string of pearls from Tiffany’s to barter my way back into the house. Weight dropping like a stone, down to 215!

Should be 2009. Can’t compare to a day that hasn’t even occurred yet! Doh!
I only noticed it b/c that’s like, 2 days (ish) after I started CrossFitting for the first time. Wow.
