The summer is upon us and our travels may take us away from CrossFit Verve.  Just because you are traveling doesn' t mean you have to miss out on your daily WOD.  You just need a positive attitude and a place to get your WOD on.  If you need them, we have a list of travel WOD's to send with you.  A jump rope takes very little space in your luggage, but makes a huge difference.  Who couldn't use some double-under practice?  Travel WOD's are only limited by your imagination.  

So go out into this world and have some fun!

What's your favorite WOD you've done on vacation or when traveling for work so far?

    4 rounds of 50M swim in the surf and 50 pushups.
    First round of pushups in the surf facing the beach, second and third rounds parallel to the beach (second round right arm in the surf, third round left arm in the surf) and fourth round facing the surf.

    I was in Ushuaia down in the southern part of Argentina (very rainforest like in the summer) and did
    5 Rounds
    -Run Down and Up ~ 200 steps
    -10 pullups on 4×4 wooden beam off gazebo in hotel courtyard
    -25 pushups
    It was raining and gorgeous.

    Favorite: 40 manmanmakers/womanmakers for time.
    2nd fav: 10 rounds: 10 dumbell squat cleans, 10 Chest slapping pushups.
    3rd fav: 20 minutes of handstand practice

    Haha, just jumped on to see what the WOD was after doing my travel WOD: 100 burpees for time (7:15, of pure suck). My favorite travel WOD is 10,9,8…1 Burpees, PU, SU for time. My abs were a little too sore this am, maybe tomorrow!

    lovely downtown des moines iowa hotel, did 25 burpees 10 hand stand negatives (dont have PU yet) and 15 dumbbell thruster x3 the other week. I would much prefer a beach wod though…

    My favorite was a beach medley, where I set my watch timer to beep every minute and I just switched the exercise randomly every minute. Run a minute (barefoot on the beach, the best!), pushups for a minute, swim a minute, situps for a minute, burpees for a minute, whatever for a minute … 20 minutes later I was toast and the beers sure went down easy the rest of the day.

    While in Tahoe with the family, Mas and I did
    20 min run, then
    5 rounds:
    20 axe swings
    30 squats
    40 double unders
    1 log carry up the steep driveway
    Afterward, Mas: “how’d it feel?”
    Me: “3 rounds woulda been good”
    Mas: “3 rounds would’ve been a vacation wod”

    I have a hard time staying motivated with “timed” workouts when outside of crossfit (that’s why I go to crossfit instead of some $20 a month gym) but I usually do something like max rep pushups then 50 situps and keep going till I get to 200 pushups. I’ve also done step ups on the bath tub.
