Moms and kids getting fit and having fun at the same time.

I love this picture above.  These two are dedicated to coming in and getting a workout no matter the circumstances.  Sometimes its not uninterrupted, but it still gets done.  Sometimes it may not have the same intensity without a baby present, but it still gets done, and it still gets results.

As a new mom, I’m learning I had no idea what to expect.  And there was no way to prepare, no matter all the books, blogs, or advice shared.  But that’s okay, that’s part of life.  I thought, “Sure, we’ll live the same life, just with a tiny person in tow.”  But that’s definitely not the case.  Our lives will never be the same.  I’m glad for that, because it’s making me grow in ways I couldn’t have predicted.

Sure, I function on much less sleep, much less personal “me” time, but I now have a little teacher in tow with me all the time.  She teaches me how amazing the human body is as it develops at crazy pace day-by-day, hour-by-hour.  How our bodies are designed to move, to function, to eat, to develop, to sleep.  And she teaches me to make the most of a little bit of “me” time and set a good example of being active and enjoying our fitness and all the people around us.  She lights up everytime she’s at Verve with you all, but I can’t blame her because she just recognizes that the one of the best parts of working hard is sharing it with the people you love at the end of the day.  Next……let’s have a nap for time WOD.
