    I wanna make it to Regionals as an individual as well as qualify for Cali as individual:)
    I wanna be better about the food I eat all the time
    I wanna be faster, and long winded when it comes to endurance

    I want to eat clean for a minimum of 2 months. A maximum of forever.
    I want to be able to run a 5K without having to walk at any point during it.
    I want to be the guy that everyone wonders, “How is he happy all the time!”

    And Matt one more I want someone else to win the doughnut challenge and take the Jammy pack from me.

    – add more play (sport) to my life with friends and family (2x per month)

    Happy New Year Verve Family!
    I would like to be better and more consistent with planning my meals for the week.
    I want to master my technique with rowing so I don’t dread it so much,
    and I would like to lose the feeling like I need excuses for my performance all the time. Time to suck up my fear, and just conquer what’s in front of me!

    Merry Happy New Year! Thank you Verve for all your love and support this last year. I feel and look better than I have in 10 years and am looking forward to improving upon that in 2012.

    My goals for this year:

    1. Work on my fear of jumping. Higher box jumps are still scary.
    2. Improve upon my already improved upon upper body strength.
    3. Continue working on my bad knee to make it a happier joint. It is stronger and has less pain/swelling after activities.

    My non CF resolution is to read 52 books this year- so if you have any must reads- let me know.

    This year, I plan to:
    –get 5 HSPU
    –get 3 MU
    –PR my CrossFit Total, even post-baby
    oh, and I want to make time to mobilize everyday, just 5 min. Shoulders, thoracic spine, hips.
    I’m pretty excited about this year with you all!

    I want to improve my nutrition, plan meals ahead, make them, and stick with actually eating them as PLANNED.
    I want to improve my nutrition (it takes up the top two spots because it is one of my biggest down falls)
    I want 2 consecutive true grip muslce ups

    One more for the road. . . . I want to snatch 95#.

    2012 is gonna be one badass year!!!!

  10. Happy New Year!!!

    – I will stop talking about how old I am in the context of it being a negative thing. I literally think my body has heard me and is now feeling older b/c of it. MIND OVER BODY.

    – I will improve consistency in nutrition.

    – I will Increase flexibility so I stop feeling old and thereby will stop talking about feeling old.

    – I will continue to seek (and maintain) a life/gym/food balance and minimize terror of regaining all the weight I’ve lost.

    – I will be the kind of friend I’ve been lucky to have (in all of you) who have been there for me during a massive period of change. I love each and every one of you and I hope I can give back to you, all you have given me.

    Happy New Year, everyone; it’s great to see all the terrific goals you all are gunning for in 2012! Here are a few of my own:

    1. Work diligently on my flexibility. I want to be able to master a proper overhead position on the snatch- then come home & stare at a wall for ten minutes in a full Lotus position… comfortably.

    2. Improve my nutrition AND my knowledge about the fuel I consume.

    3. Crack a top-15 finish at the 2012 Master’s Competition- I really want this. You heard it here first-

    “Put your name on it!”

  12. I can already tell that 2012 is going to be a much better year than 2012. For fitness …

    1) Eat more healthfully/moderately so I’m not so da– hungry all the time. (Is there a good salad bar like Whole Foods in the neighborhood of CF? Or other healthy option?)

    2) improve my weight lifting form and capability by attending more Hot Dog/Olympic weight lifting classes. (At least one a week.)

    3) Master the double-under.

    Thanks, CF team, for all you do. You’ve literally helped me keep fitness in my life while we’ve been getting our new business going.

    In 2012, I will:

    – Enter every WOD knowing that just because I can’t do it now doesn’t mean I’ll never be able to, and it sure as hell doesn’t mean I shouldn’t try as hard as I can right now.

    – Minimize my trash and recycling while increasing my compost – thinking in terms of managing consumption and waste helps me focus on making better choices at the grocery store.

    – Choke down some goddamned fish oil, because my Omega-6 and Omega-3 ratio is so far out of whack that it’s a miracle my heart is still pumping. The idea of eating anything from the ocean immediately makes me break into a cold sweat and wet myself, so this is probably the most challenging of my goals.

    My demons are big and ugly, but every WOD I complete and every day I eat for my health gives me a little more power over them. I’m looking forward to success in and out of the gym in 2012!

    Happy New Year Verve! Thank you Verve team for your support and guidance, the last 6 months have been a revelation in terms of strength and fitness, and so much fun! My goals for 2012:

    1) Get off the injured list and into HD & CC,
    2) Get my first unassisted pullups, muscle ups, toes to bar and rope climb (I know that’s four, but they are all upper body strength so I’m counting them as one),
    3) Eat strict Paleo 85% of the time (6 days out of 7) – I figure if I’m feeling good I’ll likely not want to “cheat” the other 15% of the time anyway :)

    My goals for 2012:
    Plan out my meals for the week ahead of time, that includes shopping and prepping. And make plenty of food each time. This prevents me from eating crap after a long day and not having enough healthy food and then turn to crap.
    Increase my flexibility so I can feel more comfortable with movements like the snatch.
    Do a free standing handstand and handstand walk.
    And I want to climb that rope to the top.
