Great to have you back Joei!!!

Were you a competitive athlete at some point in your life?  Chances are, if you are a CrossFitter, you've got the competitive bug.  Usually this bug is planted very early in life.  A sign at the 2009 CrossFit Games read: "Our workouts are competitive events.  The strength and value of CrossFit lies entirely within our domination of other athletes.  This is a truth derived by competition, not debate."  This bold statement solidifies the notion that CrossFitters are competitive by nature.

If this stikes a chord in you, you're in luck!  CrossFit Verve will begin training athletes interested in competitions, both local and national, in the near future.  How will this training differ from your current regimine?  Stay tuned to find out more info.  In the meantime, check out your very own CrossFit Verve athletes; Alan, Anna, Tim M. and Cherie at the 2009 CrossFit Games Affiliate Cup during WOD #1.

Super cool wod and video! I’m sad to miss the skills day….definitely no rings allowed now at our stations–alas! I will practice something else, as there is plenty on my list.
    Remember Sunday is FunDay!

  3. Danimal :

Oh shit, you guys did not just post that! I have a little ball of worldly frustration inside me just waiting for the CO games next weekend and you’re just teasing him. Poor little guy wants out of the cage.
    Sooo excited for skillz day!

  4. That’s so cool you guys! Must’ve been great energy at the games!
    Awesome job!

  5. Casey :

The videos from the games look great and I am excited to hear about the specific training for athletes as this was something I approached Matt about during my elements sessions.
I have a couple of questions about this though. Will we have individual meetings with y’all to try and figure out our sport and sport specific lifts? Second do we need to provide you with the dates of our “taper” competitions where we would like to be fully rested?
    Awesome to have the support!
