  2. I just prepped for my 3rd week of the nutrition challenge last night (and sacrificed my sleep point at the same time…WORTH IT!) =)

    I have to say that this is absolutely the most DELICIOUS nutrition challenge ever. And the easiest to stay on track. I’m at the store and have a list to go off of and as long as I do my prep work, the rest of the week is a dream, no thinking required, therefore much less temptation!!!

    So, I want to give huuuuge thanks to all of the people who worked on meal plans and shopping lists and prep day guides….what an AMAZING idea. LOOOOVE it. Mmmmmm…

      I so agree it has been easy and I can tell a ton of work has gone into the thought and recipes for the week. I totally could not have figured it out on my own.

  4. I’m bawling right now. This video is quite timely.

    I felt extremely defeated yesterday after not getting a job (that even the supervisor acted like I was a shoe-in for) where they tore into my background, talked to my family… they talked to everyone. Nothing, I mean nothing was off limits. I wasn’t afraid because I think I’ve lived a fairly boring, yet somewhat imperfect life that where I’ve so obviously fixed major mistakes that I’m almost proud to wear the badge of that mistake. I’ve fucked up but I’ve made good on the promises I made to myself to never repeat.

    All of me and my history lays in a file on some stranger’s desk. I put it all out there and they still didn’t want me. Rejection blows and it’s happened more than I can possibly track in the last 2 years. It’s defeating but I can’t let it defeat me. There are so many great things in my life! I am in the best shape I have ever been in, have the best group of friends I could’ve ever asked for and not least in the slightest, the most supportive family a kid could’ve ever hoped to be raised by. My parents are the best, hands down.

    This job shit has often felt like I’m dragging a dead body around in sand with a rope tied to my waist. I have been bitchy, impatient and massively self involved. I am so lucky to I have such understanding and beautiful friends and family who have stuck with me through it all and allowed me to vent and sometimes feel sorry for myself more than anyone should be allowed. I’m done feeling sorry for myself. It’s time for me to show up for others.

    One of the things I am most proud of: I haven’t regained the weight I’ve lost though I’ve experienced massive emotional ups and downs since the beginning of 2010. As a classic emotional eater, I never used to allow myself to feel the pain. I feel it all now.

    Pain is OK. Pain is my friend and it got me to where I am today.

    Often echoing in my head to keep me on track: “How I choose to respond to this defines who I am. to the World.”

    Powerful beyond measure, indeed.
